In collaboration with our friends at SPIEL and the National Football Museum we held an exhibition of football zines from the museum archive, plus created a new zine, that celebrated culture and writing, whilst also giving the format a new lease of life as a mass participation event where fans could choose which articles and illustrations went into their shiny foil bags before screen printing the event/zine cover design themselves.

For years soccer fans circulated their opinions on players, tactics, managers and team politics through zines. Photocopied or cheaply made and distributed they offered a voice to fans who wouldn't normally be heard by the board rooms. With the advent of internet forums and social media the humble zine has been in decline.

Created as part of OWT creative. The logo I created for the event was featured in Icon: Icon Design For Social Media, by Counter Print. The event was also promoted by the Guardian Newspaper.
